Took a chance and soldered the big grey wire to the center lug of the clean channel volume.
It works, no smoke, so I guess I am in the clear.
Case closed.

Change the first input preamp tube (v1) to a less powerful mu. I place a 12au7 in mine. It allows you to crank the volume knob up while keeping the overall loudness down. Thus getting the big 6l6 power tubes cooking.
I think the 6v6 pair has a different voltage input and different ohm output. You may be able to do it with Yellow Jacket converters.
But, I HAVE put an EL34 pair in mine with no mods. It gave it a little more sizzle.

My clean channel is not working at all when I step on the footswitch. Gain channel works fine.
After opening the thing up, I noticed that the big grey wire that extends from the middle of the PCB to the area around the input jack/pull boost pot is hanging loose. I am pretty sure this...
