All my OD pedals sound good with the Clean and Fat channels. My Mad Professor Simble is particularly good. Oddly enough, my Mesa Boogie Flux Drive sounds exactly like the IIC+ channel so anybody wanting the Boogie liquid lead for $200 with a clean tube amp, grab a Flux Drive.

What's a "twin XLR"? What is your interface? What is your playback monitoring system?

I use either a ported closed back 1x12 with an Emi EM12 or a pine open back 1x12 with a Celestion A Type. The Emi is like a EVL12 so it is clear and loud. The Celestion is a little warmer but still has great cleans. It's a lot lighter than the Em12 cab.

V30s sound great in a band mix but often sound harsh on their own. The C90 is a balanced speaker that always works well with the MkV.

No way except to mod the amp by putting a switch in and probably void the warranty. It would be dead easy to install a switch, though.

I can do OK in the IIC+ channel with the gain down but not dead on. The crunch is something special. Maybe I'll try the reverse - try a clean setting in the IIC+ channel.

Mine came with a slip cover for the head, a little nylon bag for the footswitch, and a red rose and a box of chocolates.

I have noticed (an the manual does point this out) how big a difference the treble control makes on the channel 2 settings. The gain structure really changes as you roll the treble knob up. On the MkIIC+ mode, at 11 o'clock, the tone is dull and uninspiring. Turn the treble up to 1 o,clock, and...

The only way is to choose a rhyhtm tone on channel 1 like Crunch and switch to channel 2 set to the Extreme mode.

Got the A Type this morning and installed it in the open back cab. So far it is a nice speaker with balanced mids and a nice round bass. Even though the literature shows the highs drop off dramatically at 5KHZ, it doesn't sound dull, maybe not the high end zing of a British voiced speaker. I can...
