How about that Tech21 U.S. Metal pedal? Even has diamond plate graphics on it.
I always have a Sansamp GT2 as my backup rig strait to p.a. solution.
Awesome lil pedal.
Per the Mesa manual: The Channel 3 Presence pot has a lot more top end available. The Presence Pot on Channel 2 set to max is comparable to Channel 3 set to only about 10 0'clock.
If you dig the sound of Channel 2 set as you have it, back off the Channel 3 Presence to 10 O'clock and they...
The Bigshot ABY is awesome and the ground lift/iso transformer switches are excellent.
It is passive, meaning no buffer for the guitar signal.
What this means is when you engage both amps the signal from the guitar does get cut down a bit...bit less signal, bit less high end.
May be an...
Stoked and honored to be opening the show for Clevelands mighty Chimaira.
Skeletonwitch and Salt the Wound also will be playing.
edited to add that: The World We Knew will also be on the bill.
I'll be rocking my Dual Rec.

On the previous generation Duals Ch 3 has more presence than Ch 2.
I thought with new ones both channels were the same as well. When you switch from vintage to modern it changed the presence accordingly on both channels.
Thats funny my settings are nearly identical except I use the modern mode and like channel 2 for rhythm and 3 for leads.
Seems to me that the lower presence in Ch 2 is what makes it sound like it has more midrange and probably why I like it more.
I'll have to click over to Vintage and rock a...
Anymore I think I dig channel 2 (on my 3channel Dual) for heavy rhythms and channel 3 for leads.
I always seem to be fighting the top-end on channel 3 for rhythms.
Maybe my guitar/pickups have lots of presence already.
Anyhow what are you digging these days?
Wow thats really weird that it would have those effects. I saw your original post and ended up snagging one to test. I figured for 15bills it'd be fantastic if their were an upside and if not I've got a spare. Hasnt arrived yet. I'll post up my thoughts after I give it a go.
That said the...
Feelin a bit pedestrian now lol but here goes....

Sounds good to me.

I can totally recommend the ISP Decimator. I use it up front though and have not tried it in the loop. In fact if memory serves the G-string version allows you to connect it so that it works on the noise generated directly from the guitar and from the preamp/fx loop simultaneously...
hmm... I had a similar issue not long ago with my Dual. Was dead quiet forever and then all of a sudden noise/hum/buzz even with no guitar connected. Swapped all the pre/power tubes etc. No dice. Ended up taking it to a tech and he found a of couple diodes that were fried/unbalanced. He...

Anybody know the output of an EMG81 in mv(or volts) or have the old data sheets that were available on the EMG site awhile back that listed that info.
I've searched and found values ranging from 1.25 volts to 2 volts.
And I know tone is the sum of all the parts of the p/up not just output...
