They are not new. 4-5 years. I did not play my amp for some time so will change them all i supose. But generaly is it a problem to use different brands of tubes in pairs. Like i mentioned one pair in slots 1 and 4 and other brand in 2 and 3.

Hello guys. I just bought quad of JJ 6L6 since one of my stock Mesa tubes is blown. My question is, is it safe to leave mesa tubes that are still working in slots 1 and 4 and put two new JJ tubes in 2 and 3. So i can have one spare pair. Or you guys think it is better to replace all four of them.

Thank you for your reply. It was very helpfull for choosing type of tubes for me. My concern is can i put any tubes not only Mesa branded in my Roadster and just use it or non mesa tubes need some kind of biasing or moding the amp.

Hello. I plan to retube my Roadster. I saw some retube sets on http://www.rototubes.com/Roadster-Trem-O-Verb/ I know that Roadster have fixed bias and they recomend Mesa tubes for Mesa amps. Do i need any additional moding or i can just install some of this sets and go play.

My idea is that i use Roadster + 4x12 for dry signal and then slave from Roadster to the Rjm Rack gizmo where i have all of my effects hooked up and from there to the power amp and 2x12 cab. Is this a good way to make w/d rig. If not send suggestions how to do it properly. Also do i need some...

Hello guys. I have a blown power tube in my Roadster. Do i change only the pair where blown tube is or do i change all four of them? If i change all four can i save tubes from old set that are still working for back up tubes in case that i get blown tube on gig?

I saw a guy on YT. Had one cab + regular tube amp dry and Axe with 2 FRFR wet. How would you send complete sound to the FOH?
