    Throttle input volume with OCD to Mark IV

    you should run that OCD in the front, not the loop. Time based and mod type effects work best in the loop. You should be able to get a great tone with a Mark IV even at bedroom levels.

    Removing MKIV from shell.

    Pretty much just a screwdriver. Just unscrew the four screws from the top and slide it out. It helps to pull the power tubes out first and gently slide the chassis out. Also disconnect the reverb tank and fan connections as well before removing it. Should be all there is too it.

    Unplug it. And don't stand in a puddle of water while doing it. Also don't stick forks in it while plugged in. Actually this all pertains to toasters. Never mind.

    Check to make sure your loop isnt engaged with nothing in it. Also check your switching on the back to verify set to footswitch. Check all the somple things first, more often than not its the dumb little things that get us. Also check the amps function without the footswitch to check...

    Tolex glue question... Advice please

    I used a product called tear mender by Bish's Original to do a quick repair on the edges of my Mark IV. When I re-wrapped it I used 3m contact cement. So far it all seems to hold up pretty well.
