Hi guys,

I have a minor issue with my Mark V 90. The FX loop light on the right side of the amp seems to be ON all the time, even when the FX loop is not engaged . Has anyone faced this kind of issue before ?

When I DO engage the FX Loop , the light just gets a bit brighter. I don't have a tech nearby. Getting a little paranoid because I dont want anything to happen to this amp.

What happens if you hard bypass the loop? Do you have the rear selector switch set to ‘FT SW’ (foot switch)?

Is this a brand new amp?

How can I hard bypass the FX Loop ?

I have it set to FT SW at the moment and I have had this amp for about 6 years.

There should be a switch on the back right beside the send/return jacks. Check your channel volumes first though because they become the “final” volume control for each channel because the Output and Solo controls are also bypassed.

+1

Also try the different FX Loop settings and see if they work correctly when the foot switch is not hooked up (Ch 1 only, Ch 2 only, etc).

This could also be a foot switch cable issue.
