I used to make guitars

Post by afu » Fri Jul 15, 2016 10:46 am

I came across this the other day. I'd forgotten about the Youtube channel. This was a prototype of what would have been the first model. I started having serious health problems about a week after this and became disabled about a year and a half later.

I can't play like this anymore. Also, I kept all the mistakes in. I don't mess around with editing. I was just really happy to see it again and I wanted to share.

Nice axe.
Ignore the hype and trust your ears. Play more, buy less = better tone.

I like it!

Build another when and if you can. I have built around 25 guitars in total, including a few that I've started but not YET finished out.

Building instruments is truly soul satisfying work, particularly when everything turns out right.

I can be found at www.matthewsguitars.com. The website is in embryonic stage as of now. I have a few photos up but they're mostly placeholders for when I get the time to put up better pictures.
