My first time looking for tubes, please point me in the right direction for good 12AT7s. I know the market is constantly shifting because of supply. Here’s one I found:

That is where I bought mine. Had them for a few years and never tried them in the Mark V strategically. Got them for the RA100 that does use the 12AT7 (primarily as a cathode follower for the FX loop). It came with the Mesa 12AT7 and I have a few of those too. In the Mark V on the V4 position, the warmth of the JAN/Phillips is what drew me in. I did try the Mesa tube and that seemed a bit too bright and did not take away the brittleness. I believe there is a tube chart somewhere for the 12AT7 that describes the tubes tone and has gain factors. The Chinese 12AT7 was one of the brighter versions.

Tube Depot is another but I generally use the tubestore most of the time. For Mesa tubes, Sweetwater or the Hollywood Mesa store or the online Mesa store for those hard to find tubes (Mesa 5881 and the NOS Siemens EL34). However for the Mark V probably better off sticking with the Stock power tube.

there is also this place here. good for information but I have not bought from them.
