Does anyone know why the manual says not to use the footswitch and midi at the same time? is there a way to overcome this? I suspect because they are both midi?
I use scenes on my MFC-101 and AXE FX, so when Im using my JVM410 I have the footswitch in front of me as well, very handy to switch amp channels within a patch.
Would love to be able to do this with the JP if anyone has any suggestions? was thinking maybe a 3 button midi footswitch instead of the stock footswitch and throwing it in the chain just for the 3 amp channels

The answer I got on this was incase it does something to damage either piece of gear, Midi or JP2C or the foot switch. The JP2C foot switch is a midi controller and is a parallel connection to the Midi in and Thru, according to Mesa support thus it will work with a 5 pin Midi cable yet with no light support.
