There are definitely decent ones in Northern California for $800-1000. Sold prices on eBay don't support much higher that that unless it is exceptionally clean with flight case, fresh tubes, and original docs.
The ones you see sitting around on Reverb and elsewhere are the ones that aren't selling. They can go pretty quick when priced reasonably.
