One of a few amps I own. Plus two 2x12 horizontal Recto cabs w/V30's. Plus many guitars. Plus many pedals. I really need a family photo of all my gear.

Thought I'd share my amp since you don't see many (if any) Roadsters (or Recto amps in general) with chicken head knobs. I posted here http://forum.grailtone.com/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=69901 if you're curious how I changed the knobs.

I've never actually seen one in person. How does it compare to something like a Stiletto?

They're different. Honestly, I like the Splawn a lot more. With the exception of maybe a Friedman BE-100, it's the perfect Marshall. Really well thought out and very usable modes. It's easily my favorite amp I've ever owned.

Cool. If I ever see one I'll check it out. Would like something that does Plexi to hotrodded Plexi with a master volume.

Thanks! That's a custom valance from Harvey Reams Woodworking. I found him on the Dr Z forum as he does a lot of front panels for Z's (I have one on my Z-Wreck).

I contacted him and he whipped this one up for me. Harvey does fantastic work!

Here's his FB page:

Picked up a Telecaster.

The Tele through the Recto sounds like rock and roll. It doesn't sound at all like I expected, but that's a good thing as it sounds even better than I expected. I thought I'd get thin and twangy, but instead I got thick and raunchy.

Ibanez JS10th and EBMM JP7 into Triaxis -> TC Gmaj2 -> 2:90 -> THD Hotplate -> Marshall 1912. Power from the Samson Powerbrite Pro9 to all devices, including the Voodoo Labs PP2+, which in turn power the GCP and Boss TU-2. Tuner input comes from Triaxis record out.
