Greetings To All On This Board:

This is James with VoodooMan Switches.

It has been a while since I came here for an update on business details and concerns you have had.

VoodooMan Switches was born 2 years ago and was a very small one man operation. At first it was easy to
control and keep up with. Around January of 2008 popularity of these switches exploded inundating the website
and ebay with orders that I just could not keep a handle on. I was holding a "Tiger by the Tail" so to speak and
tried several things to keep up with the demand. I made some bad personel and business decisions along the
way going through several ideas to keep up stock levels and shipping time at a minimum but as some of you
know, those ideas failed. Never having run a business before I was flying by the seat of my pants and working
feaverishly to contain the beast I had created.

VoodooMan Switches is going through a reorganization right now. We are opening a new production facility
that will expedite shipping so items are received by customers in the projected time period listed on the website.
We are also working on a new customer service phone line so no one will be left hanging without information
about thier order ever again.

A new website will be online soon replacing the old one that will be easier to use and navigate with all functions
and choices on the main page. It will include order tracking built in so you can log on and see what stage the
order is at from order placed, filled, shipped and tracking information all in one spot.

We have contracted with a company in Portland OR for all future eBay listings so the items sold will be in stock
and ready to ship before being listed. We will not do pre ordering on ebay again.

I will come back here in the near future to update when the new site and customer service phone number is
available.

To move foward I have brought some great people on board to get VoodooMan Switches back on the right track.

First on our list is customer trust and comany reputation. These two items have certainly taken some direct hits
and will be addressed through the new customer service line. We know you work hard for your money and
entrusting it to someone you don't know is a leap of faith. It is that faith we aim to keep high on our list of
priorities.

Next on the list is prompt shipping time. This will be taken care of through the new streamlined production facilty
making product readily available for shipment.

We are highly aware of the reputation of VoodooMan Switches at this time and it is our goal to turn it around back
to the beginnning when a customer could call me or any of the people I have brought on and have a conversation
about our product or your last gig or the crazy situations we as musicians have been in or seen or whether there
really is green cheese on the moon or not.

Some of you will say, "oh yeah, we'll see" and some will say, "this is just more psycho babble double speak to lure
in more unsuspecting victims". Whatever your opinion may be, time will tell the future history of VoodooMan
Switches.

To all that have been frusterated, I apologize. To all the multitudes of customers we have had where it went right
or not, I thank you for your patronage.

Sincerely,

James Britt

Portland, eh? That's cool, I live in Portland myself. I almost bought one of your switches but I was worried I wouldn't get the switch in a timely enough manner for rehearsals/gigs/etc. I'll give you a shot next time though.

Well James, I bought off ebay your 2:90 Three Btn Switch in April and no supply!!
You had the curtesy to e mail me in May and said " My leading hand has left, leaving me short staffed, I will be sending your switch next week" We are now in June! I have sent you now 4 emails to your web site only to get a "James will be in contact soon" computer generated message. Times are tuff for a lot of fokes these days but you have been Overwhelmed with too many orders, I have been in buissnrss for 30 yrs but when I was short staffed at times, I worked a 16 hour a day 7days a week till I caught up as you can be sued and go Bust over night taking money for goods you can't supply . Hope this hits the spot some how as I would not like you to Fold, just reassure your unsupplied customers with a reply to there emails!
I will keep this site posted if I get a responce from James Britt.
Regards 'phildownunder'

Update on "Voodooman Switches", BUYER BEWARE!!! James Brett will still not reply to my emails after 3months of countless emails to him . I must come to the conclusion that he is a conman, as no refund has come back to me for a switch I bought from his Co he can't supply.
Any one out there getting the same treatment should report this on the Boogie Board .
The only sincerity this guy has is take your money and run! I will continue to continuely report here with updates on his performance. Phil

Here's my SAD VoodooMan story:

I ordered a 4-button Mark III foot switch from this unreliable PITA in early April, and after almost a month with no activity or reply, with a slew of e-mails sent to him, I got a response stating my order was "mixed up with another order that was on hold" or some BS and that it's be shipped pronto... :D

Well weeks later, no pedal and I tried to contact him several times but he wouldn't respond. In the meanwhile, my time frame for filing a PayPal claim had elapsed. They (PayPal) were absolutely no help to me at all. I mentioned that it was very unseemly, unfair and improper for PayPal to continue to allow this scam artist to utilize their service and fleece PayPal customers! They basically and politely told me to pound sand. Even suggested I report him to the "authorities"... LOL! What a f%&# joke!

Well, I'm going to turn up the heat on this turkey on every forum or discussion site where his stuff is discussed. He's ripped me off for around $105.00 USD and is still selling his items freely. I'll cut and paste this post wherever I can and I don't really give a sh!t if he sends me the pedal or not - I want to get the word out that this VoodooMan is BAD VOODOO!

VoodooMan victim # ????

I hope (but I doubt it) he'll respond to my challenge to respond out in the open and explain why he failed to complete my transaction and has stiffed me. OK, Voodooman, I await a reply!

Yeah Brian , I wonder how many other victims are out there getting done buy James Britt [VOODOOMAN] It would'nt be hard to report him to the FBI for fraud if enough of us yelled out. The exact same circumstance you wrote about matches my story. I have had a stupid responce from James Brett wanting to work things out on the Phone!! whats to work out? His big mistake is not being honest with a genuine reply on when the goods will be supplied or a refund through pay pal. Enough for now, any one need a contact number for VOODOOMAN [James Brett] I have 2 [Cell 360-607-3559] [5039192457] Go for it!!!

It would suck to have to do all that and needle the guy, but it's the same as theft since no goods were rendered and basically a contract should have been honored. Plus it was done on-line and that may up the ante as far as seriousness.

And all James would need to do is ship my pedal, I'd lay off and shut up! Christ, what a deal for him.....

okay i should have read this before buying a tremoverb switch from voodooman through amazon. estimated delivery time is Aug 24 till sept. 19th. hoping to wait till the 19th & then cancel payment though i hope it doesn't come to that. :(

UPDATE ON NON-SHIPMENT OF ITEM FROM VOODOOMAN PEDALS:

This is an update on my long saga and hassles with the non-shipment of a Mesa Boogie Mark III footswitch I ordered and paid for via PayPal from this shyster, VoodooMan.

I paid $104.75 via PayPal fair & square on April 12, 2009 and have received NO item or word from this rip-off artist! The last weak and lame excuse from James to me was on June 8, 2009 and nothing further has been sent.

I'd like to spread the word on what either is an inept and totally out of sorts, or deliberately fraudulent, outfit this is! I WARN ALL BUYERS - BEWARE!!

And I welcome and challenge James from VoodooMan to reply with either an explanation how this non-shipment of my item was overlooked or for his to admit he doesn't always ship everything he's been paid for, which in my book, is fraud and illegal.

Here are the invoice for the item, my querries and the reply for James:

James, I await your reply, my pedal that I paid for, or both!

Hey James: Spare us your PR and sweet talk and get with the program in shipping the items you have been PAID FOR, OK? If you check your records, you STILL OWE ME A MARKIII PEDAL I bought back in April. Now, while some may be understanding of such a wait, I AM NOT! And if you are not shipping my pedal due to my badgering you for what I already paid for, too friggin' bad! I'd like to meet you and discuss this "misunderstanding" and come to a "resolution"... okay here's what i got when i ordered the pedal through amazon in case anyone else did. it took a month then i got this message from amazon:
"We're writing to inform you that your order ???-???55???-?????? from
VoodooMan Switches has been canceled because the seller did not confirm
shipment of the order within 30 days. Sellers on Amazon must ship products
within 30 days of when the order was placed, otherwise the order is
automatically canceled."
the good thing is that i had a watchdog like them to do it for me. so this is just an FYI to all. it's a shame because this guy could do some great business not only with mesa users but other amps as well.

I ordered a pedal for my 2:90 two weeks ago and now it says "shipped". We'll see.

I saw these switches from this vendor on e-bay the other day. For my soon-to-arrive used Stiletto Ace combo, they're around $45, around half of what Mesa sells them for. If I need one, I'll stick with the Mesa source. Life's too short for the headaches posted on here. But I agree, this vendor should be held accountable.

Happy Holidays to all. I ordered a foot switch from Voodoomanswitches as did some of you. I ordered it as a Christmas present on 12/3/2009. The order was charged to my credit card on 12/4. I received a email that "confirmed" my order on 12/7. I received another email that my order was "processing" on 12/19. Neither of these emails had a tracking number that USPS assigns to priority mail orders. So I started emailing and calling on 12/20 to see what the tracking number was. No response... So here it is 12/24, 21 days later and nothing. That's when I ran across this forum. Needless to say I'm a bit PO'd by what I read here. One of you had posted a cell phone number so I called it. I left a rather lengthy blunt voice mail for Mr. Britt. A few minutes later to my surprise I received a phone call from Mr. Britt who gave me the story he has posted here. He told me he would mail out my order today. I told him I would appreciate that and I hoped it would be here by Monday 12/28 or I would go about getting my money back and making sure he didn't continue to take peoples money. A few moments later he called again with a USPS tracking number. I went to the USPS site to confirm the number and it does seem to be a legit tracking number. I told Mr. Britt during our conversation that I had been to this forum and that I wouldn't post anything negative here or take any other steps until Monday 12/28. So here is to sayin' a prayer that this man does as he says because I really don't want to run anyones name through the mud. Stay tuned for the results.

I emailed the company approx. 2 months ago to see whether they sold a solo 50 5-pin footswitch replacement... and no reply. I am now that glad that I have not had any more contact with voodooman other than that. I wish those who have lost money the best of luck in bringing a shyster down.

Good day to all, I posted over Christmas that I had ordered a pedal/switch from James Britt at Voodoomanswitches.com on 12/3 and as of Christmas still hadn't received it. I called his cell phone that someone had posted here (Thank You Very Much!) and was able to speak with Mr. Britt. He told me he would get the order out and that I should have it Saturday. I had my doubts and told him I'd give it until Monday 12/28 to get here. Well it arrived today. He gave me his word and he delivered. It took 25 days but I have it. So I must say Thank You, Mr. Britt for keeping your word. The pedal seems to be in good condition. I haven't had the opportunity it try it yet but it looks and feels like a quality product.

If I may give a piece of advice to Mr. Britt... If you are having issues with meeting delivery dates don't charge people's accounts until you mail the product. Secondly Be honest with people keep the customer in the loop with emails, phone calls or what ever it takes to keep them feeling good about their purchases. I think those very small inexpensive items will go a long way to keeping your name out of threads like this. I can't imagine what it must feel like to have your name smeared and cused like your's has been from people around the globe. Now go fourth and do GOOD BUSINESS! Thanx

He does have an outstanding product. I have two of his pedals and they are fantastic quality.

anybody else besides voodooman making switches for mesa amps these days. i posted my experience with this guy a few months ago through amazon.com thankfully he didn't take my money since amazon was my watchdog throughout the transaction. i really would like to purchase one of these "all in one" switches or similar since my tremoverb requires too many pedals to buy individually from mesa. one for the loop, one for reverb, etc. thanks for reading. this forum has been a tremendous help.
