Ok guys, amongst my hum problems, i was able to get this vid recorded. It doesnt walk through a lot of different settings, but it does show the one sound i feel the MM trannies really changed. I recorded this using my Canon XL1, with two mics ( one shot gun mounted on the camera, and an SM58 mounted high on a mic stand.

I wish i could just embed the video here, but you gotta hit this link:

Nice tone. Is the hum you're talking about what I hear right when the clip starts and then in the background? I thought it was a small fan turning really fast. If that's the hum then no wonder it's been driving you mad. Let us know how the repairs turn out.

sorry guys, the hum from the second video ( the darker one) was caused by my camera...i was getting a weird interference in the basement....wasnt happening up stairs. Both of the videos were recorded with a shot gun mic about 5-8 feet away to really get the room feel of the amp. The hum from the amp is really more a problem when i close mic the speaker...but yea, its just as annoying!

Something I just thought of that you might have the tech check,

Make sure that the primary wires for the output transformer are not swapped. I think they are brown and blue on the DC.
I've done that before and it makes this really weird hum noise that increases when the presence is turned up more.

well the amp sounds fine when i patch in through the FX loop, so the OT should be hooked up correctly
