How can you tell?

Well one easy thing is visual. In the photo you can see that 2 knobs don't pull out. There's no lettering above the knobs to describe the pull function. For example "Pull Bright" over the volume 1 knob. On Mark II C's and C+'s all but 1 knob has a pull function. On MK III's all knobs pull out.
