Edit: Sold!
This is a very clean Mark IIC in its original hardwood & wicker cabinet. It's a 60 watt model with reverb. The speaker is a Mesa/Celestion Black Shadow MC-90. I am not sure the wood species, but it does seem to fit in with other hardwood Mark series amps of this era. My guess would be padauk.
Currently I have a set of "coke bottle" STR-420s installed, but I also have a set of STR-415s, your choice. These are vintage tubes though so I cannot vouch for their lifespan going forward. For now they sound good.
A Mesa channel footswitch and generic reverb footswitch are included. An original cover is also included although the condition is not as nice as the amp.
When I purchased this amp I was told it had a recent service/cleaning including new caps and power cord. An "OEM" Howard Industries cooling fan has also been added. I have not confirmed any of the service but the amp does seem to be in good shape. My guess is anyone that is considering buying a IIC will likely have this sent to Mesa to be "IIC+ed" so it will likely get a full service at that time either way.
Pricing IICs is tough because there don't seem to be a ton left selling. I don't think there were ever many, and most have been upgraded to IIC+. I spoke with Mike Bendinelli at Mesa recently and he suggested the going rate was around $2,000 for a clean 60 watt combo in tolex. This one does not have GEQ or EVM-12L, but the hardwood/wicker cabinet is pretty nice. Would be happy to get $2,100.
Would also be interested in selling just the amp chassis and pedals to anyone not interested in the hardwood thing and looking to save a few bucks.
I'm mostly looking to sell outright, but am always interested in more hardwood Mesa gear if you have something interesting to trade.
Thanks for looking!
