This is a Mesa Boogie Triaxis Preamp with the Version 2.0 software and NO Fat Mod, which most tone purists prefer! Also installed in this unit is a set of brand new, high gain JJ 12AX7's for the untimate clarity in tone! Imagine having sparkling cleans, the Mark IIC+ crunch, the searing Mark IV high gain leads, the brutal Mesa Rectifier, and many more packed into one unit!
A little known fact is that Mesa is now starting to cease production on this particular model of the Triaxis. The new Triaxis models being produced will no longer feature the Lead 1 Red (Rectifier) setting! Instead, they will come with the original Lead 1 Red from Version 1.0 of the software. Why take a step back to a more primitive model when you can own the excact one that made legends out of musicians? This unit sounds amazing and just has a little rack rash.
