1st post. Greeting to all board members!
So, I'm in the market for the best 1x12 I can find. I need its portability. I'll have it setup with my Orange Dark Terror lunchbox head for now.
Pretty much settled I'm going to go with Mesa Boogie so I'm undecided between the Thiele or the closed back WideBody.
I'll be using mainly for distorted tones. I like it to have a great low bottom end and "thump" for that palm muting sound.
Thing is, is I won't be able to try both of them prior to ordering online and I'm undecided on which one to get.
This cab is a keeper so the extra wideness will be of use as I choose a different wider head in the future. This fact is important but I won't let it decide my purchase alone. Sound is the most important.
What will be the main difference between the two? Which one should I get?
Any and all thoughts and opinions welcomed.
