Is my Throttle Box Broken ?

Hey guys this is my first post here

I bought a Mesa Throttle Box today but didnt get a chance to try it in store

A weird thing is happening where is I sustain a note I get clicks other times its almost as if there is a gate kicked in yet there is no gate on the pedal.

When I put the pedal on bypass there is no issues

I have tried it plugged into My Mesa Stiletto then a Peavey Classic

I've tried various different guitars

I've changed cables to eliminate that side of things and i have tried 2 brand new batteries and still the same issue.

I tried to take a small clip with my phone to let you hear what is going on and I hope someone may have a clue as to what's happening

Just so you know its not the pick hitting the pickup

Take it back to the store and swap it for another one, probably a good idea to A/B them both in the store.
