anyone use a v twin like a tubescreamer? does it sound good?

thinking about picking one up, if it can do that thing the od9 does to a dual rectifier.
 
Check the new 4 foot pedals by Mesa.

Most probably, the Grid Slammer can do the same thing as the Tubescreamer.
 
Everything I've read about the V Twin is that is more of a full on distortion pedal than an overdrive and that it tends to sound muddy when used as a boost.
