Day job is software engineering. Lots of experience developing interfaces to communicate with external devices. Have hacked out (reverse engineering) "the" device's innards and addressing when no documentation is in hand, but get the job done much faster when references are available.

NEED SPECS ON TRIAXIS MIDI BOARD!

Suppose a lot of TriAxis users do this: Hold or sustain a chord or note while scrolling the presets.

Thought it would be cool to develop simple piece of software implementing timer objects and reiterative processes (loop cycles) to produce some nasty never heard before dark metal effects that may lead to excommunication.

Have standard developer toolboxes and activeX objects to connect and communicate with MIDI interfaces. Just need a starting point.

Dialed Marcus at Mesa and he confirmed Mesa does not offer specs for the TriAxis midi controller and have contacted Tony McKenzie's site and waiting for reply.

Fer starters, assumption is the interface to connect `puter to TriAxis is visa via de old serial port.

Any advice on the cable and pin outs would be helpful. More correct to say "any advice on any aspect of the prospective project would be great!". Need to start with how to get the TriAxis to answer the phone. Connection specs would be a great place to start - could begin and, maybe evun, complete the project with a hint to getting a handshake going with the TriAxis "controller".

Vote early and vote often - they don't care - we're just monkeys pushing a a meaningless button to nowhere for a fix of plastic fantastic civic satisfaction!
