So, I've been a Marshall-Vox guy for many years. I played a show where I played through the rented back line... A Mesa Lonestar combo. I was sold. I've been shopping for the right Mesa ever since. Although, I've been primarily searching for a Lonestar head, I think I've stumbled on a killer deal! A stiletto ace 2x12 with a flight case. I still would like to split the amp and keep the combo body in perfect condition... Buy a head shell and switch between different cabinets. My question is where to find an empty shell? Is the Stiletto Ace comparible to the Lonestar? I've heard them side by side online but... Thanks in advance!!

They're two nice amps, but very different animals.
Play through the Ace before buying.
It's a Marshall-sounding amp.
The Lonestar is a Fender type sound.

Thanks so much for the reply! I really dig the Lonestar but you're right, it sounds more like my old pro reverb than my bluesbreaker... I'm looking forward to hearing the stiletto. The dude gets back in town in a couple days and I'll spend some time with it.

Thanks again!
