I have a Mesa Express 5:50 and a cramped pedalboard.

Instead of using the big, all-in-one fooswitch that comes with the amp, is there a way to have just the channel select and reverb available in two separate single button switches on the board? Maybe by using those tiny, one button micro on/off boxes? Does anybody make something like that?

The manual talks about doing that all through an external master switcher (latching type).

Can the same thing be done with those tiny boxes?

Yes, they need to be as described: standard tip-to-ground “latching type” foot switches. Latching means push-on, push-off. The other type is "non-latching", which is push and hold down for on, lift up for off. Non-latching requires you to leave your foot on the switch. If you want an LED indicator light, the foot switch will require a battery for power, but usually the switch will work without the battery as well.
Boss makes them, as does Hosa, Proel, Behringer, etc.
Under no circumstances buy anything from Voo Doo Man, he will rip you off. It's well documented on this board.

Gotcha. So would something like this work? http://www.loop-master.com/product_info.php?cPath=29&products_id=158

I'm trying to find something as small as possible to fit on my board.

This one's smaller:

Boss makes a small one:

The FS-6 has two configurable switches:

If you do outdoor gigs, find out if the LEDs are visible in bright sunlight.
Some are not.
