I just plugged my V-twin in to my 5150 amp and was blown away!!! I had the v-twin set on the clean channel with the gain up all the way and the rest of the stuff around 11:00 or noon.
The cleans went from being steril and thin, to a bit darker and fuller and very usable!! I like the 5150 distortion, but the v-twin made it "Throatier" and beefier without adding more low end and it also took out just a bit of the sizzle.
I was just about to list my V-Twin on Ebay today!!!! But after this, there is no way I'm gonna sell it!!
Give the V-twin a try if you have an amp that's "Almost there", and it may push it up a notch and give it new life.
