Hi
This is for all the Mkiv lovers and FU-3 haters
Iāve loved the Mkiv ever since i got my first one at the age of 19. Finally got one again a few years back and have loved it again. However, the one thing that always bugged me was the FU-3 and its stoopid lead.
First off i cut the cable off, made it detachable at the fu end but iāve come to the point where iām building up a collection of pedals and the fu3 is just to darn big!
So, it brings me to thisā¦

This little pile will eventually turn into a smaller FU-3. The case isnāt the smallest yet, itās half the width of the fu but i will be looking to make it smaller again.
All of this is possible with the massive help of my buddy from Dartmoor Amplification as he took the schem for the and made the pcb about 2āx3ā as opposed to the mesa one which is huge!
Anyway, i hope that some of you find this interesting and as i progress i will be updating the post with how itās going
Cheers for now
