Hello! I use a mesa boogie 2:fifty power amp with 6L6 GC STR 420 tubes, that were built in this amp. Now it´s time to change the tubes, but I can´t find a shop where I could buy this type of tubes. Could I use a different tube type like STR 430´s? I´m not shure if that would work, cause you could choose between different sound colours (grey, yellow, green, red...) and you don´t have this option for the original STR 420´s. Or could I also use STR 425´s without damaging the power amp? Many thanx for your help and feedback!!
