Hi,

Has anyone tried this? I recently bought a recto pre an i want to use my mark iv as a power amp.

Has anyone done something like that?

How is tlhe sound?

I've run my Recto Pre into the FX return of my Roadster Combo and it works fine. In fact, the manual for the Roadster explains the process. I'm sure you can run your Recto Pre into your Mark IV. However, a Mark IV expert will be able to tell you which loop to use, which knobs to turn/push, etc.

You can certainly run it that way. If you have a midi switcher like a GCX or RJM, you can have both the MkIV and Recto preamps available. The EQ and presence controls on the MkIV are post the FX return, so consider that in your tone shaping with the Recto preamp. I think the sound is really good, since you have options with channels and EQ. I can expand more if you'd like.
