I just picked up a Triaxis in a trade. After many many years of wanting one, I'm simply not into rack gear anymore......go figure!

Serial number is: T-7688
Board Rev is: TX3

Not sure if I'll keep it, but it has some sick gain for sure.
Any help identifying this version would be greatly appreciated.

When you turn on the Triaxis a number appears in all of the display windows. That's the version.

Nope, that´s only the software rev. it´s running....

Check these threads:

According to that and the srl# you mentioned you should have a FAT/PHAT mod V2 Triaxis....
Check for the TX4 board on the upper/back left (when looking from above/front).
If you don´t like how Ld1Red (Phat Recto) sounds, check this thread (reverse Phat to Non-Phat):

Also, swap IC3 (OpAmp in DV-circuit, stock TL072) for an OPA2604...big improvement!

Just took the TX5 pic as reference; IC3 is in the same location in TX4 Trixes as well ;-)

IC3 is on the back main board just to the right of the TX board.....
There's a bunch of schematics, service docs and disassembly instructions on http://www.tubefreak.com
But then, you're the amp-tech :D

Subjective with which version is more sought after..... I guess the V2 non-phat is the one

Cheers
