Hi all.

I use a Nomad 45 using the four cable method with a POD HD500x. This has worked really well for many months but has recently stopped working.

Any effects after the Pod's FX loop don't work (eg, if I turn on a reverb, delay or EQ I hear no change to the sound), and if I use a patch with no FX loop (bypassing the Mesa preamp) I get no sound at all.

I have tried replacing cables - no difference.

Here's what aim thinking:

1, Is there an easy way to check if something is wrong with the FX loop? I'm thinking plug a cable into send, one into return and measure with a multimeter. What should I be getting?

2, Is there any other way to test if the FX loop has an issue?

3, Would the parallel to series mod I've read about on here be a possible fix?

Any help gratefully received. I've got a gig on Thursday and I'm faced with abandoning the FX loop and re-writing all my patches for 'front end' otherwise.

Thanks

David

All sorted now. After changing V4 I discovered the Line/Amp switch on the POD was stuck in the middle.

Who'd have thought it?

Cool. Glad you found out.

PS: What is the "four cable method"?
