Hi all,
I'm hoping someone can help me - I'm trying to find out which valves do what in the Subway Blues. Mesa usually include a valve schematic within the manual but that haven't with this one.
If someone could confirm V1 is the valve closest to the input jack that would be very helpful.

In the Rocket series (which shares the Subway's preamp design) V1 is the one physically closest to the jack. Not sure if the loop functions apply to the Subway. The functions are split on each side of the tubes. Oddly enough V1 is not the first gain stage:

Description of Tube Functions
V1A= 3rd Lead Stage
V1B= 2nd Rhythm Stage
V2A= Lead Input Stage
V2B= Rhythm Input Stage
V3A= 4th Lead Stage /3rd
Rhythm Stage / FX Send
V3B= FX Return
V4A= Phase Inverter
V4B= Phase Inverter
