you can see what looks like 2, no less, mesa rectifier cabs being used by Pat Martino during his gig at the 16 Lotos Jazz Festival, at Klub Klimat, Poland, 20.02.2014! Can't really tell what amp head he is using, but it is most likely a transistor type owing to the size...maybe an Acoustic Image Clarus? His website talks about his Benedetto Guitar and strings he uses, but nothing about the amp or amps he uses.

Those are probably the house provided backline cabs normally used by some of the "heavy" acts that come thru the venue, lol.... imagine if they were to see this straight ahead jazz being pumped thru these! And sounding this good! lol

Mr. Martino has always been one if my guitar heros, ever since I picked up the guitar. His recovery from a brain aneurysm, and the subsequent amnesia where he forgot who he was, forgot his guitar playing, etc, really inspires me when i have my "bad" days with life and music... here is a link that gets into the details about what happened...check it out... peace

I think that gear in general is marketed predominantly for certain styles whilst being suitable for a much wider range.
George Thoroghgood a Mk4 and a Gibson 125.
I could have swore it was a Tele into an early twin
