Hi everyone, I just bought a brand new Mark V: 25 and I'm a little confused about the mid control. In the manual it says that from 0 to 5 it functions like a normal mids control (in a condensed form) but from 5 on it acts like a boost. Does that mean that for a slight bump in the mids I should have the control set at around 11:00?

For a slight midboost, anything above 12:00. The midboost isn't operating until after noon on the dial

xtratorque,
If I understand your question correctly my answer is yes. Basically, on Ch1 of the V:25 the mid control acts as a regular mid control from off to noon (0-5) and as a midboost control from noon to full (5-10). So a mid setting at noon in Ch1 of the V:25 would be the maximum mid control setting without boost, similar to a mid setting maxed out on other amps. A mid setting at 3-4 should result in a conventional mid setting of 6-8 if that is what you are asking.
