Mark V Tube placement for 12xa7 suggestions

Hello again, it's tube time. Just got a complete set of new tubes for my Mark V head.... Running it out of a 2x12 recto cab.

I want to keep channel 1 as clean as I can
Channel 2 for a decent classic rock maybe 80's rock tone
Channel 3 enough gain for metal

Here are the 12xa7 preamp tubes I have

1 tung sol
1 ruby 7025SS HG
1 ruby ACZ HG
3 pentas
1 sovtek LPS

Was thinking maybe putting the tungsol in V1
Ruby 7025SS HG in v2
Ruby ACZ HG in V3
Pentas in V4 thru V6
Sovtek in V7 for phase inverter

Any other suggestions?

I'm honestly not trying to be a dick....and here it comes..BUT...lol
Dude, you have all the tubes and sockets to plug them into, why ask what other people would do when you already have the stuff and you can try it all in your amp.
There isn't a whole lot that's more fun than messin with a bunch of preamp tubes on a Sunday.

Try them all in different sockets and then come back and tell US what's best where. Have FUN!

It's just a major PITA to get the head out of the shell, BUT... it is the easiest way to swap preamp tubes........ But, like ya said, swappin and testing is pretty much the only way to do it.

Doing this MOD makes tube changing a breeze
