I recently bought a Roadster and did not read up on the channel 3 pop issue. It did it every single time I switched to 3 no matter what I tried. This one was built in 2/12 so I figured Mesa had sorted it out by now. Wrong.
Then I read a post about channel 3 modern mode. It seems if I keep channel 3 in modern mode and use channel 4 as my "anything else" gain everything is kosher. Channel 1 and 2 have never been an issue.
I called Mesa a few days ago, before I found the fix, and they said this was normal. Now if this was "normal" behavior I should think that it would do it now matter what mode in channel 3 since it is rumored to be relay static. I am not an electronics expert but this seems fishy to me.
Anywho .. that was the fix for my channel 3 pop.
