Ok, So I Know I Have Been Asking A Lot Of Questions About Cabs.

I Read Up The Other Day That 2 2X12 Gets Better Tone Then The 4X12.

How True Is This And Would That Be A Better Way To Go?

I Was Thinking About Getting The Avatar Traditional 2X12 Cabs Empty And Putting Wgs V30s In Them.

Let Me Know What You Guys Think. The Reason I'm Thinking About Doing This Is So I Can Have On At My Practice Place And One At Home, Then Can Use Both At Shows.

Thanks Guys For Your Help!

Tone is subjective. "Better" - more so.

You will have to be the judge, try some out

I have a preference for (2) 2x12s... why?

- I think you can get better separation/spread.
- Easier to carry if I wanted both at a gig.
- Multiple setups (2 locations, like you described)

In short I think it is easier to be more flexible with (2) cabs.

+1
I personally prefer an open-back 2x12. It all comes down to what you like to hear.

I prefer two 2x12's.

I already have an Avatar Traditional with WGS Retro 30's that sounds awesome!

I'm thinking about buying a Marshall DSL and an Avatar Vintage loaded with WGS Reaper HP's.

Even if I were to run a single amp through both cabs, I think I would still prefer that set up.

Also, most 2x12's, including Avatar's, are a bit oversized.

This means that you get a bit fuller bottom end without getting a ton of flub like you would with a Mesa Standard Rectifier 4x12.
