Black Face plate

Hi I am planning to buy a triple rec this weekend used from someone and I was wondering If anyone knows if it is possible to buy just the black Face plate and install that myself onto the head.

ever hear of this ? would it be easy to do ?

I just took a look at my Dual Rec w/black diamond plate and I can't see any screws, rivets, or anything attaching it. I'd give Mesa a call to see if it's interchangable, or to see if they even sell these as replacement parts.

You can purchase the black face plate, Mesa Boogie Part no. 492145, $37.00
Problem is removing the existing plate which is held on by industrial 2 way tape that will destroy the baffle-board that it`s attached to. You can try it that way or like I was thinking just lay it over the existing plate.
