Hey guys!

I got to see Alter Bridge live as headlining band in Tempe, AZ last night. Thought I'd share some of the wealth for all the Tremonti / AB fans on here!

First off, greatest Rock show I've seen to date....just flat out amazing...everyone was spot on, great set, and the energy was insane!

Front row too

Not to mention the guitar rigs were insane! Miles was running 4 mesa 4x12s with what I'm guessing would be the Mark IV and Roadster...most of it really sounded Mark IV to me....the only amp I could see of his lonestar.

Mark also ran 4 mesa 4x12 with his 2 fender twins. For heads, Uberschall, Shive, and Triple Recto. It seems that the recto is going out though...if you look at the pics, you'll notice it wasn't rackmounted....only the Uber and Shiva were...makes me think it isn't too permanent. Anyway, his tones were AMAZING! Lead tone has improved tenfold with his Shiva, and the Uberschall really gives the boot to the recto IMO.

As for PRSi...well...let's just say Myles and Mark were swapping guitars every song

Myles was using:

2 Black McCartys: Duncan in the bridge
A Red flamed McCarty with trem
Black Hollow McCarty with Piezo
A Black Singlecut 250 with bridge pup swapped
A Sunburst Singlecut 250 with both pups swapped
A Blue Modern Eagle with a Duncan in the Bridge

Mark:
A BUNCH of his singlecuts
The new blue and white striped one is awesome live!
(Look at the pics to see all of them)

Pics and videos are here:

Let me know what you guys think!

Man, that blackbird solo split was awesome! I had no idea Myles played the first solo. That's killer!!!

Yup....Myles does a lot of lead playing believe it or not....most of the big solos are still Tremonti's, but Myles is quite the player.

As for front row, I got there early, and then I fought my way through some people...no one gets between me and Tremonti

awesome pics man! i think that really insanely flamed singlecut was my favorite of his. that thing is awesome. i'm pretty sure he had it when i saw creed live the other year.

my thoughts on the recto leaving his rig are mixed. it was one of the main reasons i got that amp, so i guess in a sense, i don't want to see it leave. but if he thinks his tone is better w/ something else, then oh well i guess.

Awesome pics and clips! As for me on the issue of the recto on it's way out. I think if he has found his sound in something else more power to him. I am sure he still loves the recto, considering that it has been there for a long time. It could just be a case of it is time for something new.

The Uberschall does him much better...ESPECIALLY for some of the major riffing he is doing in Blackbird....the new album is a completely new style, so I could see why he's changing amps :D

This thread has turned into a monster! I guess people like Tremonti or something... weird. I asked about his tone on the Seymour Duncan forum and someone joked "I can't respect him because he only uses 9 wahs on his board... I personally use 14!"

Ha.

speaking of his wah - I just got his Morley Power Wah. It is very aggressive and sounds good with distorted tones, but it seems to add distortion in clean channel. I have the boost turned all the way down. Any ideas?

I'm in a cover band so the wah comes out on many songs... I have the boost all the way down and still get some distortion when playing porn music.

Hey, Vertigo, do you mind sending me your Roadster's settings and what cab you use? Thanks!
