I saw AB live about a month ago, and I agree, amazing show. Pics are here:

They had the exact same guitars and amps, and I got to meet the guys after the show. I asked Tremonti about his amps, he told me his Triple Rec was still his main tone, and that for his lead playing, he had ditched the Orange Thunderverb 200 he had in his rack at the beginning of the tour for the Shiva. Both he and Myles had great tone, I'm just wondering if he boosts his Shiva at all. I wish I had asked him that too!

You bumped a thread over 10 years old for that?

He was probably searching old threads for info. Sometimes when you're reading the conversation it's easy to forget how long ago it actually happened.
Ignore the hype and trust your ears. Play more, buy less = better tone.

I mostly wanted to draw attention to how nearly perfectly 10 years old it was.

I was wondering why Tremonti wasn’t playing his signature model...

I saw him last May on the Last Hero Tour. Tone was amazing, as usual. Sorry for the crappy cell phone shot.
