Presence pulled, shred off gets me real close in tone to my Mark IIC++.

I pull presence and gain and feel like the JP has and edge over the C++ I own. It has a touch more authority in the low end that I like, I’ve changed tubes in the ++ and tweaked and they are oh so close and in a blind test through the same cab I’m not sure I could could hardly distinguish the difference. Now for a 35+year old amp the ++ is amazing and has more gain on tap than the JP but I don’t feel like it has anything it does better. I love them both but if I had to choose one it’d be the new one.
Current Amps:
Mark II C+ DG
JP-2C
Mark V:25
& Lots of Cabs!!!!! (all Boogie)

I go back and forth, today I actually switched back and forth from song to song playing with just a drummer. Tough choice as to which I'll use at practice this week. I pack only one amp, usually anyway, probably the Mark IV because it doesn't get much love.
My C++ has more snot than the JP2C also.
