50W Single rectifier on top of Royal Atlantic 1X12 27"?

Is there any reason I can't use a Royal Atlantic 1X12 27" cabinet under my 50W Single Rectifier head? I've been looking for a more gig friendly cabinet compared to my 4X12 cabinet, and I just recently discovered the RA 1X12. The other 1X12 mesa cabs aren't quite wide enough, and I doubt I'll be happy with the tone of something other than my 50W single rectifier. What's the collective wisdom? Any problems with this setup? I think I found my answer using the search, and now it sounds like a stupid Question. However, has anyone else used this set up? Thanks in advance for any comments.

Mixing and matching speakers and cabs can be half the fun!
Just be sure the impedance matches the output jack properly and the power rating can handle the amp.

Then let your ears decide!
