Hi everybody!

I want to start swapping tubes on my TA15 and I wonder if any of you know what function the preamp tubes have. And which tube is V1 left or right (I presume left near the input)?

I presume V1 is the preamp for each channel. V2 drives the EQ (Voltage amp). V3 is the cathode follower for the EQ and V4 is the phase inverter.

I have some JJs, Tung Sols, EHs and now an 7025 so I'll see what works well and post it here.

Check page 30 of the Manual: http://www.mesaboogie.com/manuals/TA15_100816.pdf

Thank you very much!

I have Tung Sols in V1 and V2 and JJ's in the power section at the moment, but I have not been able to turn it up and test it for real. It sound's very nice at low volumes.
