popping sound on channel one

Post by dmraco » Thu Aug 25, 2011 2:43 pm

I am haveing an issue with my channel one (left side). It seems when it switch to it, it cuts in and out like someone is flicking the switch. It even has the "POP" associated when switching channels. It does it with both the foot controller as well as the main panel switch mode. must be a switch gone bad. souds like someone if flipping the channel on/off whil I am playing it.

Thoughts?

If it's just happening when you switch it, it could be a difference in the power settings between the channels. I think I read in the manual that would cause a pop sound when switching.

I know some other Mesa amps pop because of static build up, but I have no idea what causes that or how to keep it from happening.
