Angels We Have Heard on High. (Tis the Season)

Gibson LP, BKP Rebel Yell, Electra Dyne 45watt RA 27" 1 x 12. Sure SM57 Mid cone at a 20degree angle pointing outward. Focusrite Scarlett preamp.

Bass is an EMG loaded Fender P Bass direct out from a markbass head.

Yes, stock 6L6s on vintage Hi with the RA27" 1 x 12 (Formerly known as the Electra Dyne 27" 1 x 12)

Everything there was done on Vintage Hi with a lowpass and high pass filter to give the rest of the mix room to breathe. (Rough mix anyhow haha)

To my ears, on Vintage Lo (Not recorded, sadly) my EQ settings sound quite similar to G&R although with a bit more bass. But, with a mic things always change.

Something weird I noticed is that the tone shifts far less dramatically volumewise when micing than it does in the room. The low volume tones sound much better -if a little constipated- when recording at low volumes. When using more volume you get more 'whump whump' in the lows and a more open and driven sound from the speaker, which is working harder.
