If the 45 watt setting on the Electra-Dyne uses only two of the 6L6's does that cause uneven tube wear?
 
There is uneven tube wear even if you use all 4, because the Simul-Class circuit biases them differently. One pair of tubes makes like 3/4 of the power. It's really only about 18W in 45W mode if I recall an earlier discussion correctly.

Whatever the actual power, one pair is biased to be more efficient than the other (one is class AB, the other is hotter-bias class AB).
