Ever sit in the theatre and dream about that sick sound John gets. Now you can discuss amongst yourselves.

2:90 issues

Post by rockerboogie » Tue Nov 12, 2013 11:38 pm

I just got a 2:90 changed from a 50/50 with a Triaxis for 13 years ....man the 2:90 sounds great ...but I had it a month and side A tubes fried , then another 4 days and side B tubes fried . I guess the guy on ebay , who said the tubes were new and amp was serviced at Mesa lied. I checked with Mesa ("we have never had that amp in here") was the response.. so now I changed the tubes and it works again hmmm. Never had anything like that happen to me> I'm gonna pick up a Mesa Rack Monster 295 or 395 hopefully . Wish me luck >

i do wish you good luck…….i owned a 20/20 mesa for over a decade and never had the first problem and my best friend has owned a 290 for about 14 years and has never had the first problem with it…..it's built like a tank. i can't stand it when people lie about stuff like that.
