I have a MkV with the Vertical Slant 2x12 Recto Cabinet (closed back).
I have seen quite a few pictures of 2x12 Vertical Slant Recto cabs with the metal grills (which makes it easy to see the baffle) that have two vertical slots or ports on either side of the bottom speaker. I don't think mine has them (and I don't feel cheated or anything) but I am really just curious about them. I basically understand what the port (if that is what it is) is for but wondering why some have them and some not. Is it an option when ordering the cabinet.
Maybe it is just older models or something?
