Mark V EQ Engage

Hoping somebody can help me out. This has me scratching my head. I owned a mesa mark v combo and moved to a mark v head. My problem is, when I engage the eq on the amp, via the switch or the front panel, I get no change in tone at all.

I have tried to change the foot switch and cable, but it still does it.

Any ideas?

After having a mess around, the eq is always on. Even when it is switch off the eq sliders still change the sound.

That is strange. The EQ light goes on when you engage it. Not sure what is going on there. Maybe email Mesa?

Seems like a broken relay to me.

I had something similar but only on channel 2. No actuve eq period. Tech replaced jfets and viola. No too expensive either.
