3 cable method, so the guitar goes straight to mesa guitar input.
Then, the signal goes this way:
mesa effects send->isp decimator->g system insert return.
g system out L->mesa return.
mesa head is rackmounted thanks to forsburg company aluminum cell:

G-System takes care of delays, reverbs, modulation etc and also handles mesa's channel switching!
The minor of this set up is that you cannot take advantage of G-System's loops, filters and comp..
G-System "brain" is mounted on the rear side of the case and the whole system is very lighweight and quiet!
I sometimes use this rack with mesa recto cab 212 or thiele 112 with its EVM 12L speaker, or both..
The sounds are AWESOME!!!

Congratulations! Great set up. Looks like your needs are met for now.
 
I'm really interested on doing the same thing, just to tidy up the setup. How many rack spaces does that rackmount take?
Can't seem to find a similar product in Europe, probably there's not much public for it.
