Mark V power tube question

I was a Mark IV user for years..sold it and then missed it's tone. Recently I picked up a Mark V and was wondering...

Can you combine EL34s and 6L6 like you could in the IV or is it all one or the other?

Make sure who ever you order them from know they are going in a Mark V... Some tubes can run too hot and mess up the amp

I ordered the EL34s directly from Mesa. Thank you tele_jas for the tip.

Please let us know your thoughts on EL34 vs 6L6.

I'll be glad to.
The tubes are still in the hands of UPS (oh no!...kidding).
When they get here and I've had a chance to A/B test them I'll report back.

Update...Unfortunately, I had to sell the Mark V and the EL-34 tubes before I had the chance to try them out.
Work was slow during the last 2 months and the mortgage will always beat out having great gear.
Hopefully at some point in the future I'll be able to get a Mark V (or maybe a Mark V 25).

I don't think you can combine them you, you can swipe them out 6l6/el34
