Do any of you know what button on the mini amp gizmo controls the solo function of the head. And is it active when it is lit or not lit?

It's switch 6 that controls the solo function. When it is off, it is off, when it's on... yup... it's on! 
Should be anyways! If it's not, it's probably reversed. In which case there is a way to change it back. Check out the MAG manual. The only function that I ran into that was reversed like that was the reverb control on switch 8.
