Joe Bonamassa silky lead tone

I am looking for some settings and maybe stomp pedals that will give me a tone similar to the tone Joe is using for Black Country Communion, say in the song "Cold".Looking for that sweet, warm, pure but suggestive tone.

All thoughts and suggestions appreciated. Most of it is to do with technique i know however just looking for a few directional hints (stuck here on my own) there is noone else to learn off.

Is a humbucker essential for that style of tone?

Not to worry. Some research shows the basics have two different amps, plus delay and maybe a chorus.

Bonamassa is using two marshall dsl 100's for that tone. You won't get that with a mark V.

if this recording has the tone you're talking about i don't see the problem w/getting pretty close w/a Mark. Humbuckers will help & use some reverb.
